Colorado Sex Offender Management Board

In 1992, the Colorado General Assembly passed legislation that created a Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) in the Division of Criminal Justice. The SOMB was charged to develop standards and guidelines for the evaluation, treatment, and behavioral monitoring of sex offenders.

Safer Society Press has been producing leading-edge resources for the treatment of sexual abuse since 1982.  The National Adolescent Perpetration Network (NAPN) is a part of Safer Society Press.  The NAPN is a cooperative network of multidisciplinary professionals working with sexually abusive youth in the US and abroad. Founded by Gail Ryan in 1983, the primary goal is to facilitate services for adolescents who are at risk of becoming the next generation of sexual offenders.
